Offline version
Hi Niel!
How easy would it be to make a version of hanzicraft that can be used offline? I do most of my Chinese studying on the train (3 hours every day) where I don't have internet access. If I could somehow download the search page and whatever materials, that would be amazing. I don't know how easy that is to incorporate, but I appreciate your consideration.
Cheers!

Pinyin tones without numbers
Hello, I know that it us very common to write tones in Pinyin with numbers like "zi3" but I do belong to that kind of people who really have problems with this kind of writing the tones.
It would be much easier for me to read the Pinyin with stresses instead of numbers.
Is that hard to realize?

List by Frequency
Hi it would be VERY useful to be able to have a list by Frequency. I want to study characters by how frequent they are.
7 votesHi,
this is a really great idea! I’ll put this one on my list to do!
Stay tuned.

Your program is GENIUS but a suggestion!
First, I like to thank you for this program and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I found you through "Hacking Chinese" and I am a Student at ChinesePod.
May I suggest an "Add to FlashCards" Deck that corresponds with Anki with Sound?
As a beginning learner to the Chinese/Mandarin Language I find it much easier to study and learn the building blocks, the Radicals but other that the 100 most commonly used Radicals Flashcards that I am using from a download at "Hacking Chinese." There are NONE!
It would be so totally perfect if you had this…

An API for HanziJS
I'd love to use an AJAX service that can respond with connections shown in HanziJS. Obviously, I could set up a server with the source code on github, but I'd rather not host the entire thing just to make some Greasemonkey scripts work.
For example, a URL like this:
http://hanzicraft.com/api?character=熟&data=high_frequency&format=jsonmight return this:
{charachter:"熟", high_frequency:["成熟","熟","熟悉"]}2 votes -
Complete missing radicals/components
There are radicals that have not been named, like the one in 发. Also, there are words with "invisible" radicals (pages that redirect to empty pages) like in the case of 才. Hope this helps and THANK YOU A LOT for creating such an useful tool (:

phonetic set list sort
The new phonetic set list looks great. Except, There are a lot of them :( Would it be possible to format it so that the end user could sort them by the amount of phonetic suggestions?

Characters display as blocks despite HanaZono installation
I installed HanaMinA and HanaMinB (both appear in my Fonts folder) on Windows 7, restarted, and looked at http://www.hanzicraft.com/character/%E3%87%A0, but the characters still appear as blocks.
What do I need to do?

Pronunciation Clues should be sorted by usefulness
For 励 we have two Pronunciation Clues:
Pronunciation clue for 励 (li4): The component 一 is pronounced as 'yi1'. It has the same pinyin final. Pronunciation clue for 励 (li4): The component 力 is pronounced as 'li4'. It has the exact same pronunciation as the character.
The second is obviously more useful than the first, so why not show it first?

Components with readings of xx5 should not start with pinyin x
In e.g. 喜, we get the Pronunciation Clue that the component 丷 is pronounced as 'xx5'. It has the same pinyin initial. But this is not the case; 'xx5' is clearly a placeholder for a component without a reading, for which reason HanziCraft should ignore them when listing Pronunciation Clues.

住 should give pronunciation clue from 主, not just 丶
As described in the title.

丝 phonetic tip is wrong
You mention that 一's final, "i" is the phonetic hint for 丝, but the two finals are different. 一 uses a long "i" and 丝 uses a short "i".
See the notes on this page.

More of a question than an idea...
I purchased a premium acct but can't seem to register. When I click register it takes me to the information page. Can you help me with this please?

decent error message
I just searched for a character that was obviously unknown (菈) but instead of a message saying "sorry, this character is not in our database" I got a computer person's error message!

Search characters by multiple components
This would probably take a lot of work but it would be very useful to be able to search for a character by its components. Yellow Bridge website has a search tool that does this but it doesn't seem to work. I realize there's already a list of characters that contain one component, but the ability to cross reference using two or more would really help narrow it down.

translation
It sure would be nice if an English language translation was next to the word. I have to look up each one on another web site to find the meaning.

"Child" Characters
The "Also Appears In" section is great. Here's another similar idea.
If I give Hanzicraft 2 radicals, it should give me a list of all characters in which they are both used.
