  2. You don't need to make a flashcard program. You need to only make our "Favorites" in excel formal to download. Radical breakdown in one excel column and the definition in the other like this:
    Front: 的 => 白 (white), 勹 (wrap), 丶 (dot)
Back: de5 - of/~'s (possessive particle)/(used after an attribute)/(used to form a nominal expression)/(used at the end of a declarative sentence for emphasis)
Users have their own "favorite" flashcard program. We only need the .csv format to import to our preferred program.
    And thank you!

  4. I'm thinking about making a phonetic set myself in the future, but I don't know when, so perhaps you get a chance to do it sooner. The goal would be for it to fit on one or two A4 pieces of paper so it's easy to use as a reference and to memorize. It doesn't have to be complete, just useful.

I would only use the Degree One set. I would only use components that occur frequently in the real world. This could be based on character frequency. When calculating these statistics, leave out characters that consists of only the…

  5. The "Also Appears In" section is great. Here's another similar idea.

If I give Hanzicraft 2 radicals, it should give me a list of all characters in which they are both used.

  6. It sure would be nice if an English language translation was next to the word. I have to look up each one on another web site to find the meaning.

  7. This would probably take a lot of work but it would be very useful to be able to search for a character by its components. Yellow Bridge website has a search tool that does this but it doesn't seem to work. I realize there's already a list of characters that contain one component, but the ability to cross reference using two or more would really help narrow it down.

  8. I just searched for a character that was obviously unknown (菈) but instead of a message saying "sorry, this character is not in our database" I got a computer person's error message!

  12. You mention that 一's final, "i" is the phonetic hint for 丝, but the two finals are different. 一 uses a long "i" and 丝 uses a short "i".

See the notes on this page.

  14. In e.g. 喜, we get the Pronunciation Clue that the component 丷 is pronounced as 'xx5'. It has the same pinyin initial. But this is not the case; 'xx5' is clearly a placeholder for a component without a reading, for which reason HanziCraft should ignore them when listing Pronunciation Clues.

  15. For 励 we have two Pronunciation Clues:

Pronunciation clue for 励 (li4): The component 一 is pronounced as 'yi1'. It has the same pinyin final.
Pronunciation clue for 励 (li4): The component 力 is pronounced as 'li4'. It has the exact same pronunciation as the character.

The second is obviously more useful than the first, so why not show it first?

  17. I installed HanaMinA and HanaMinB (both appear in my Fonts folder) on Windows 7, restarted, and looked at http://www.hanzicraft.com/character/%E3%87%A0, but the characters still appear as blocks.

What do I need to do?

  18. The new phonetic set list looks great. Except, There are a lot of them :( Would it be possible to format it so that the end user could sort them by the amount of phonetic suggestions?
